Contributions to cleanliness campaigns launched by the urban community.

Dakar, capital of 19 municipalities, faces persistent urban cleanliness challenges: solid waste management, illegal dumping, maintenance of gutters before and during the rainy season, and uncivil behavior. The City and its partners are multiplying initiatives, such as the “Zero Waste” operation launched in view of the Youth Olympic Games (October 31 – November 13, 2026), with the deployment of waste bins in all municipalities, schools, and places of worship. The challenge is to transform these punctual dynamics into a sustainable movement that continues long after the Games. This mission invites the diaspora to support cleanliness campaigns: equipment, expertise in waste management and sanitation, digital solutions for reporting and monitoring collections, public awareness, support for waste sorting and recovery.
