General description
This mission aims to engage the diaspora in the development of greener and more sustainable cities. We seek to support concrete pilot projects focused on improving the urban environment and promoting the efficient management of resources. This involves identifying, planning, and implementing local initiatives such as the creation of community gardens, the optimization of waste sorting and recycling systems, the promotion of energy efficiency, and awareness-raising on water conservation. The objective is to transfer skills, mobilize resources, and provide technical and strategic support to local communities.
Impacts / Objectives
Our specific and measurable objectives for the next 18 months are:
* **Increase green spaces**: Create or rehabilitate at least 5 community gardens or urban micro-forests.
* **Optimize waste management**: Implement sorting and composting systems in 3 pilot districts, aiming for a 15% reduction in waste sent to landfill.
* **Strengthen awareness**: Reach 2,000 residents through educational campaigns on water conservation, clean energy, and zero-waste practices.
* **Develop local skills**: Train 50 local stakeholders in.
Contribution details
The diaspora is invited to contribute its expertise and energy in the following roles:
* **Technical Expertise**: Share your knowledge in environmental engineering, green urban planning, agronomy, renewable energy, or waste management to guide our projects.
* **Project Management**: Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of initiatives, ensuring their success and sustainability.
* **Resource Mobilization**: Leverage your networks to identify funding opportunities and establish strategic partnerships.
