'Clean Thursday' is a citizen initiative of the city of Nkongsamba aimed at promoting urban cleanliness and hygiene through a weekly mobilization of residents. Every Thursday, people are encouraged to clean their homes, streets, markets, and neighborhoods. This momentum is part of a broader strategy that earned Nkongsamba 1er the distinction of being the cleanest city in Cameroon in 2025. The program is based on community awareness, effective waste management, and the active participation of neighborhood committees. It helps make the city a model of sustainable environment and living conditions.
