In a context of difficult access to drinking water in schools and certain neighborhoods, the city faces significant public health challenges. Past episodes of waterborne diseases, particularly cholera, underscore the need to sustainably improve the supply of good-quality water. The goal is to guarantee all populations reliable and safe access to drinking water, in order to reduce health risks and improve living conditions.
