This mission aims to equip the municipal teams of Kumba, Cameroon, with the skills needed to accelerate the city's economic and urban development. In response to identified needs, the program focuses on several strategic areas: developing and implementing a territorial marketing strategy to attract investors and partners; strengthening skills in project management and financial engineering to secure funding; improving urban planning, waste management, and mobility; promoting the digitalization of public services and e-governance; supporting local entrepreneurship and SME management; and developing international cooperation and city diplomacy. The goal is to transfer modern skills and methodologies to transform Kumba into a resilient growth hub.

Impacts / Objectives

1. Equip Kumba's municipal teams with the skills needed to effectively structure and promote economic and urban development. 2. Increase the number of investment projects and international partnerships for Kumba by 25% within two years, thanks to an active territorial marketing strategy. 3. Strengthen the capacity of local stakeholders (municipal teams, entrepreneurs) to design and implement bankable and sustainable projects, thereby facilitating access to funding.

Contribution details

The diaspora is invited to bring its expertise as trainers, mentors, or consultants. We are looking for experienced professionals in the following areas: territorial marketing and strategic communication; international project management and fundraising; urban planning, spatial development, and environmental management; digital transformation and e-governance; SME development and entrepreneurship; city diplomacy and international cooperation. Contributions may include facilitating workshops.

Mission conditions

The mission will be structured into flexible thematic modules, allowing adaptation to the availability of diaspora experts. Remote collaboration is possible for design and follow-up, with occasional on-site missions in Kumba for intensive training and direct mentoring. The specific terms of each intervention will be defined in consultation with the experts.
