General description
This mission aims to support a partner city, such as Koudougou in Burkina Faso, in the digital transformation of its municipal services. The context focuses on improving administrative efficiency and transparency. Activities include needs assessment, the design of digital solutions adapted to local realities (e.g., civil registry management, permits, local taxes), their deployment, and the training of teams. The direct beneficiaries are citizens and the local administration. The diaspora is invited to contribute its expertise to strengthen local capacities and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.
Impacts / Objectives
The mission aims to achieve the following SMART objectives within 18 months: increase online access to administrative services by 30%, reduce processing times by 25% through digitalization, train at least 15 municipal staff on new digital platforms, and enhance transparency through improved monitoring and accountability tools.
Contribution details
We are seeking diaspora members with the following profiles and contributions:
IT experts (developers, architects, cybersecurity specialists): for designing, developing, and securing digital platforms.
Digital project managers: for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the transformation process.
E-governance / process optimization consultants: for needs assessment, business process modeling, and deployment strategy.
Trainers / mentors: to support and build the capacity of local teams in digitalization.
Mission conditions
The mission requires regular commitment, with a strong remote collaboration component. Occasional field missions may be considered depending on project phases (e.g., launch, intensive training) to facilitate implementation and knowledge transfer. Strong adaptability to the local cultural and technological context is essential. The mission is carried out in partnership with municipal authorities.
