General description
The 'Moungo Taste Trail' is an initiative to showcase and promote the rich culinary heritage of Nkongsamba, designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2023. This project aims to create an immersive tourist route across the Moungo region, highlighting its unique local products (Ndolé, taro, cocoyam, plantain, coffee, cocoa, Penja pepper), its ancestral recipes, its vibrant markets (such as the Nlonako market), and the cultural diversity of its peoples. It will offer authentic experiences, ranging from discovering plantations to tasting traditional dishes, as well as culinary workshops and meetings with local producers.

This project aims to:
* **Boost the local economy** by increasing the number of visitors, creating job opportunities for young people and women, and adding value to local agricultural sectors.

* **Position Nkongsamba** and the Moungo region as a flagship destination for agritourism and culinary tourism in Cameroon and Central Africa.
* **Improve the incomes** of local producers and stakeholders in the gastronomic value chain, and encourage responsible and sustainable consumption.
