The city of Maroua has many assets to shine internationally, including rich craftsmanship, a strategic commercial crossroads position, and promising cultural and educational projects. However, its promotional efforts are currently fragmented and lack structure. This mission aims to develop a clear territorial marketing strategy to showcase Maroua's identity (culture, trade, Sahelian tourism) and to establish solid international partnerships, actively relying on the mobilization of its diaspora to amplify its global visibility and appeal.
Impacts / Objectives
The goal is to significantly strengthen Maroua's international visibility and appeal. This will translate into: establishing lasting twinning arrangements with foreign cities, increasing exports of local products (crafts, processed agriculture), improving the city's image to attract investors and tourists, and gaining better recognition of its cultural heritage and economic potential on the world stage. The diaspora will play a key role in achieving these objectives.
Contribution details
The diaspora is essential to this mission. We are looking for members with skills in international marketing, digital communication, economic diplomacy, or partnership development. Their contributions will include: identifying potential cities for twinning, promoting Maroua's cultural and craft events abroad, supporting the development of a multilingual communication strategy, networking with investors and tour operators, and acting as ambassadors for the city through their professional and personal networks.

A commitment to regular and transparent communication. Respect for local guidelines and established partnership frameworks.
