General description
This program aims to strengthen the capacity of vulnerable communities to adapt to and cope with the consequences of climate change. It focuses on implementing sustainable local solutions, such as improving resilient agricultural practices, water management, and awareness of climate risks. The goal is to protect livelihoods and ensure the food security of affected populations, by fostering autonomy and community collaboration. We seek to mobilize expertise and resources for direct impact on the ground and lasting empowerment.
Impacts / Objectives
Reduce the vulnerability of targeted populations to droughts and floods by 20% within 3 years.
Improve access to drinking water for 5,000 people through resilient infrastructure.
Raise awareness among 10,000 residents of sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices.
Set up and make operational 5 community early-warning systems for extreme weather risks.
Contribute to local food security by increasing resilient agricultural production by 15%.
Contribution details
The diaspora is invited to contribute its technical expertise and network. We are looking for agricultural engineers, hydrologists, renewable energy specialists, environmental project management experts, resilient urban planners, and communication and awareness professionals. Contributions may include remote advice, training local teams, developing educational kits, fundraising, sharing international best practices, and supporting the implementation of micro-projects in the field. Your experience and knowledge of the contexts can bring unique added value.
Mission conditions
A minimum commitment of 4 hours per week for remote missions.
Availability for regular exchanges with local teams (via video conference).
Command of French or English.
Access to a computer and a stable internet connection.
The ability to work as a team and adapt to local contexts.
Prior experience in international development or environmental project management is a plus.
