Strengthening municipal cleanliness actions in Garoua

**Objectives:** * Increase the operational capacity of Garoua's municipalities in waste collection and management. * Strengthen awareness and citizen engagement for sustainable cleanliness practices. * Support the acquisition of additional sanitation equipment and the training of local teams. * Identify and promote recycling solutions suited to the Garoua context. **Expected impacts:** * A tangible reduction in unsanitary conditions and a visible improvement of the urban environment. * Increased community participation and local accountability in cleanliness management. * An improved living environment and public health for the people of Garoua. * Potential creation of economic activities linked to waste recovery.

The diaspora is called upon for contributions exclusively in the form of donations, essential to amplify local actions: * **Financial donations:** For the purchase of sanitation equipment (bins, tricycles, tools), the funding of awareness campaigns, or staff training. * **In-kind donations:** Provision of new or excellent-condition sanitation equipment (tricycles, protective gear, cleaning tools). * **Donations of expertise (remote):** Pro bono advice in modern waste management, collection logistics, the development of recycling programs, or communication strategies for awareness-raising.

The mission takes place in Garoua, Cameroon, in close collaboration with the Urban Community, the district municipalities, and local stakeholders (neighborhood committees, associations). The diaspora's contributions will be coordinated with the needs identified in the field. Regular monitoring of donations and their impact will be ensured. The terms for transmitting donations (financial or material) will be defined in full transparency with local partners.
