Bafoussam: Harnessing tourism potential and economic development

The mission aims to transform Bafoussam's untapped tourism potential into an attractive, modern, and income-generating destination for the local population. This involves structuring and diversifying the tourism offer around ecotourism (developing natural sites and parks), cultural tourism (creating heritage circuits linking chiefdoms, crafts, and local festivals), and business/event tourism (promoting events such as FODEBAF). Concrete actions include modernizing hospitality infrastructure (hotels, guesthouses, digitalized information centers), developing mobile apps and digital promotion platforms, and capacity building through the training of local stakeholders. The diaspora is invited to mobilize its expertise and investments to bring these projects to life, in close collaboration with local authorities and communities.
