This mission aims to modernize and strengthen the public health care offering in the city of Ébolowa and its surroundings. It targets the modernization of the technical facilities of the Ébolowa Regional Hospital (CT scanner, radiology, operating theater, emergency care, pediatrics), the strengthening of neighborhood integrated health centers (staff, medicines, basic equipment), the improvement of maternity wards (obstetric equipment), the rehabilitation of District Medical Centers (CMA), the development of emergency and ambulance services, the recruitment of specialized medical staff (surgery, gynecology, anesthesia), the strengthening of anti-malaria campaigns, and the modernization of hygiene infrastructure (drinking water, hospital latrines).
Impacts / Objectives
Significantly improve access to and quality of healthcare for the people of Ébolowa and its surroundings. The specific objectives are to: 1) Modernize the technical facilities of the Ébolowa Regional Hospital to increase its reception and treatment capacity by 30% within 2 years. 2) Strengthen 5 neighborhood integrated health centers in terms of staff and basic equipment. 3) Reduce the maternal and infant mortality rate by 15% in the intervention areas through improved maternity wards. 4) Decrease the incidence of malaria by 20% in the targeted neighborhoods via strengthened prevention campaigns. 5) Ensure equitable access to specialized and emergency care, thereby reducing evacuations to other cities by 25%.
