General description
This mission aims to boost our city's international presence by actively leveraging the potential of its diaspora. It involves facilitating the creation and strengthening of twinning and cooperation partnerships with foreign cities and organizations. The diaspora will play a key role in identifying strategic partners, opening channels of dialogue, and supporting the development of concrete projects in areas such as the economy, culture, education, and science, thereby fostering mutually beneficial exchanges and greater visibility for the city abroad.
Impacts / Objectives
Establish at least 2 new twinning or cooperation agreements per year with strategic cities. Increase the volume of economic and cultural exchanges linked to these partnerships by 15% over 3 years. Strengthen the diaspora's participation in the city's economic and cultural diplomacy initiatives. Create a solid network of international partners for sustainable development projects.
Contribution details
The mission is looking for diaspora members with proven expertise in international relations, public diplomacy, or international business development. Skills in intercultural communication, negotiation, and an in-depth knowledge of the socio-economic contexts of the target countries are essential. The ability to mobilize professional, academic, and institutional networks abroad will be a major asset for identifying and realizing twinning and cooperation opportunities.
Mission conditions
A commitment to working closely with the municipal departments in charge of international relations. Availability for regular exchanges (online or in person if possible) and to represent the city at certain events. Adherence to the city's values and international development strategy. The ability to initiate and follow up on projects autonomously or as part of a team.
